Set 10,000 years before the events of the Dune films, Dune: Prophecy explores the early history of the Bene Gesserit, a mysterious order of women who in turn sculpted the fates of the great houses of the Empire. Series centres around two complex sisters that are in the heart of Bene Gesserit, played by Watson and Williams. These characters’ actions lay the ground for the Bene Gesserit’s influence, which plays a critical role in the Dune films in the life of Lady Jessica Atreides, a mother to Paul Atreides.
The rivalry between the two sisters is going to intensify in the second season, and their formidable competitor, Desmond Hart, played by Travis Fimmel, will start playing a central role. His growing powers and the interplay between the characters would take centre stage as this sisterhood faces challenges in the new season.
Co-produced by Legendary Television, Dune: Prophecy is based on the novel Sisterhood of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson. The show’s executive producers are Diane Ademu-John, Anna Foerster, Jordan Goldberg, Mark Tobey, John Cameron, and more. This series has been produced under the auspices of Brian Herbert and the Frank Herbert estate.
