In a chilling crime that echoes the brutal Saurabh Rajput case in Meerut, a woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Deoria district allegedly murdered her husband with the help of her partner, dismembered the body, and stuffed it into a trolley bag before abandoning it in a field.
Murder After Return From Dubai
The victim, 38-year-old Naushad Ahmad, had returned from Dubai—where he worked as a driver—just 10 days before his murder. According to police, the crime took place on April 19. The next morning, a farmer discovered a suspicious trolley bag dumped in his field around 55 km from Naushad’s home in Bhatoli village.
The woman, identified as Razia (30), was arrested on April 20. Her alleged partner, Ruman—believed to be Naushad’s nephew—is currently absconding.
How a Luggage Tag Cracked the Case
The breakthrough came when police noticed an airline baggage tag attached to the trolley bag. This tag, linked to Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow, helped investigators trace the luggage back to Naushad. A foreign SIM card and photocopied documents further confirmed his identity.
A police team was dispatched to Naushad’s residence, where initial inquiries led to Razia’s detention. During questioning, she allegedly confessed to the crime.
“She Killed Him Because He Was an Obstruction”
“As per our investigation so far, it was Naushad’s wife who killed him with the help of her partner, as he was an obstruction in their relationship. Razia, 30, has been arrested, and her partner will be arrested soon,” said Deoria Superintendent of Police Vikrant Veer.
Police found injury marks on Naushad’s head, indicating he was likely attacked with a sharp weapon.
Mirror Image of Meerut Case
The murder closely resembles a recent case in Meerut, where Saurabh Rajput (29) was allegedly killed by his wife Muskan Rastogi and her partner Sahil Shukla. In that case, the body was chopped into pieces, stuffed into a drum, and sealed with cement.
As the hunt for Ruman continues, multiple teams have been deployed in the manhunt, and further investigation is underway.
