PTI Expected to Submit Demands List by Next Week, Says Pakistan PM’s Adviser

Pakistani Prime Minister’s Adviser on Political Affairs, Rana Sanaullah, stated that the PTI’s negotiating team is expected to meet the party’s founder on Monday, according to a report by ARY News. Sanaullah mentioned that the PTI representatives are likely to present their charter of demands to the government next week.

“If they had submitted their written demands during yesterday’s talks, we would have already begun consultations on them,” Sanaullah, a leader from PML-N, remarked. He also addressed ongoing propaganda issues, asserting, “Our own people are involved in the propaganda in the US and Europe against the country.”

Reaffirming Pakistan‘s stance, Sanaullah stated, “Pakistan has been a sovereign country; it would not kneel down before anyone.”

As per ARY News, the PTI’s negotiating team has been granted access to meet the party’s founder in Adiala Jail. Sources indicated that if the team does not visit the jail today, they will likely do so on Monday or Tuesday. The team plans to consult with Imran Khan regarding its demands during the visit.

Rana Ihsan Afzal, the Coordinator to the Prime Minister of Commerce and Industries, expressed that no significant progress had been made in the ongoing talks between the government and PTI, as the party has yet to provide its list of demands, ARY News reported.

Afzal emphasized that the government initiated the dialogue to promote democratic values and reached two preliminary agreements with PTI. “The first was for PTI to submit its demands, and the second was for their negotiating team to consult with the party’s founder for further guidance,” he explained. However, he added, “Despite holding consultations with their founder, the PTI team has failed to finalize or present its demands.”

Meanwhile, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Gandapur, is also expected to visit the jail.
