In a bid to crack down on the ongoing illegal mining, transportation, and storage in the capital city, the district administration launched a joint inspection campaign on Monday. On the first day of the campaign, a total of 6 tractor-trolleys and one excavator involved in illegal mining and transportation were seized, with effective coordination among the mining, revenue, police, forest, transportation, and Jaipur Development Authority departments.

Secretary of the district-level Task Force Committee, Shri Krishna Sharma, informed that during the committee’s meeting chaired by District Collector Prakash Rajpurohit on Sunday, instructions were given to the officials of concerned departments for necessary actions.
He mentioned that the joint inspection team carried out the operation, seizing 2 tractor-trolleys in Sanganner Block Panchayat Samiti, 2 in Phagi Panchayat Samiti, and 1 each in Jamwaramgarh and Bassi Panchayat Samitis. Additionally, an excavator involved in illegal mining was confiscated in Khora Meena and Amer, where unauthorized stone mining was taking place.

After the operation, the joint inspection team handed over the seized vehicles to the respective police station authorities. As part of this campaign, Collector Prakash Rajpurohit has also directed the documentation of drone videography for illegal mining by January 31.
In case of illegal mining on government land, legal action will be taken against the culprits under the Mining Act. The licenses of drivers involved in illegal mining and the registration of vehicles used in these activities will also be cancelled.
