Haryana Chief Minister, Manohar Lal visited Radha Soami Satsang Beas located in Sikandarpur village of District Sirsa on Sunday. During his visit, the Chief Minister took part in a spiritual congregation and attentively listened to the discourse of Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon. Following this, he paid a visit to Baba Gurinder Singh Dhillon’s residence and honoured him by presenting a shawl.
Later, The Chief Minister inspected the land of the Drug De-addiction Centre to be built in the Red Cross Bhawan of Sirsa and directed the Deputy Commissioner, Sh. Parth Gupta to ensure that the layout of the de-addiction centre is prepared in a way that allows for easy expansion in the future.
The Chief Minister, while inspecting the land designated for the upcoming medical college in Sirsa, mentioned that Sirsa holds a special significance in the legacy of Baba Sarsai Nath. Therefore, the Chief Minister announced the decision to name the upcoming medical college in Sirsa after Baba Sarsai Nath. He stated that the government has already approved the construction of the medical college building, and construction work will commence soon to provide better healthcare services to the surrounding communities. He emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring that every citizen of the state receives proper healthcare benefits and mentioned the expansion of the Ayushman Chirayu Scheme. Necessary directions were given to the officers regarding the anti-drug campaign. The Chief Minister later visited the Drug De-addiction and Rehabilitation Centre in Sirsa and interacted with the admitted youths. He instructed the district administration officers on necessary measures regarding drug rehabilitation. He directed the Police Commissioner to carry out legal action against offenders through a special campaign against drug addiction, aiming to eliminate drug abuse from its roots. While talking to the youths admitted to the de-addiction rehabilitation centre, the Chief Minister appealed to them to become self-reliant after returning to mainstream society. He underscored the importance of registering healthy youth and providing them with skill development training to promote self-reliance and independence. He directed the Deputy Commissioner that the youth should leave the drug addiction centre only after being completely healthy.
