Obamas Receive a Warm Reception from Diners

Cheered to their feet, customers watched the Obamas make their way through the packed restaurant, Page Six said.

As reported by the Daily Mail, a number of restaurant customers were heard exclaiming: “Oh my God” while the audience cheered. “They will always be my President and First Lady,” one fan wrote on the viral video. Another commented, “Love that spot,” while the fourth one said, “They are always there.”

The Obamas were spotted smiling and waving outside their go-to restaurant in D.C, allaying speculation that their marriage was on the rocks.

Michelle Obama’s Visits and The Restaurant’s Popularity

Aside from Barack’s visit in January, Michelle has previously dined at the high-end “California-style Italian” eatery. She threw a Christmas dinner for her staff of ten in November, two weeks following the opening of the Georgetown neighborhood restaurant. The restaurant has since become a favorite of the couple since opening in 2024. Just about five months prior to this visit, the couple was previously spotted together in the restaurant during December.

Michelle Obama Responds to Divorce Speculation in Her Podcast

Michelle’s no-show at Donald Trump’s inauguration and Jimmy Carter’s funeral in January fueled questions about their marriage.

The former first lady spoke about the divorce rumors during a new interview with actress Sophia Bush for an episode of her podcast, Work in Progress.

“That’s what I believe is the hardest thing for women to do: let people down,” she said. “So much so that people this year assumed that my husband and I were divorcing because they couldn’t even comprehend that I was making a decision for myself.” “That this couldn’t be an adult woman making her own decisions, could it?”
