TV show actor Lalit Manchanda, who acted in prominent roles of TV shows Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah and Crime Patrol, was discovered dead in his Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, residence on Monday. According to a report, police confirmed that the reason for his death was suicide.
Lalit Manchanda Found Dead by Suicide
According to the report, Lalit was found dead in his residence on April 21. Local police were quick to arrive at the scene after being reported the incident. His body was said to have been hanging. After being arrested, his body was sent to a local center for postmortem. There was no suicide note. And initial reports indicated there was no foul play or third-party involvement.
Police have allegedly started questioning Lalit’s family and close friends in connection with the investigation. They are also investigating the circumstances of the death. Since no suicide note was discovered, the police are investigating mental health and recent developments in Lalit’s life, according to the report. His close friends and family members have allegedly stated that Lalit was facing mental stress and personal issues in the past few months. More information is pending.
On Tuesday, the official Instagram account of CINTAA shared a post confirming Lalit’s death: “CINTAA expresses its condolences on the demise of Lalit Manchanda (member since 2012).”
