Despite his impressive fortune of Rs. 9,300 crore, Goyal is not the wealthiest resident of Gurgaon. The title of Gurgaon’s richest person belongs to Nirmal Kumar Minda, chairman and managing director of UNO Minda.
According to the Hurun India Rich List 2024, Nirmal Kumar Minda’s net worth is over three times that of Goyal, making Minda the richest person in Gurgaon and the 91st richest in India. Minda’s net worth stands at approximately Rs. 30,800 crore (around USD 3.6 billion).
Nirmal Kumar Minda, aged 66, is the billionaire chairman of UNO Minda (formerly Minda Industries). The auto ancillary company was founded by his father, Shadilal Minda, in 1958. Nirmal Minda joined the family business in 1977 and later separated from his brother in the 1990s. Today, UNO Minda produces a variety of auto parts for both cars and two-wheelers. Minda is married to Suman Minda, who chairs the Suman Nirmal Minda Foundation (SNMF), the CSR arm of UNO Minda.

According to the Hurun list, Nirmal Kumar Minda and Deepinder Goyal occupy the top two spots on Gurgaon’s rich list.
The third position is held by Varun and Ghazal Alagh, founders of Honasa Consumer Ltd, with an estimated net worth of Rs. 5,900 crore from their brand Mamaearth. Jyoti Bhatia, sister of IndiGo Airlines co-founder Rahul Bhatia, ranks fourth, while Ravinder Kumar of Gawar Construction rounds out the top five with an estimated net worth of ₹4,300 crore.
