Reflecting on the move, Zeeshan stated, “This is an emotional day for me and my family. I am grateful to Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel, and Sunil Tatkare for their trust during these challenging times.” He further confirmed that he had secured the NCP nomination for the Bandra (East) constituency, expressing optimism about winning again with community support, as quoted by ANI.
Previously a Congress member, Zeeshan was suspended from the party following cross-voting in the recent legislative council elections. His decision to join NCP comes as the state gears up for its assembly elections, with 288 seats at stake. Voting is scheduled for November 20, and results will be announced on November 23.
