Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath accused Congress party of disrespecting India’s iconic figures Lord Ram, Lord Krishna and Dr B.R. Ambedkar. He criticised the party’s divisive politics and asserted that the BJP is focused on building a stronger future for India.

“Congress has always insulted India’s great personalities, including Baba Saheb Ambedkar,” Yogi Adityanath said while championing for BJP candidates in Haryana.
Addressing a massive gathering in support of BJP candidate Krishna Bedi, Yogi declared. “They tried to defeat him in elections and never gave him the respect he deserved. In contrast, under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the BJP has taken several steps to honor Baba Saheb, such as converting his home into a national memorial and spreading his teachings to the masses.”

Yogi continued his attack against Congress, accusing the party of exploiting the marginalised for electoral gain. “Congress has only engaged in politics for power, while the BJP is committed to the nation’s progress. They have oppressed the Scheduled Castes whenever they came to power, whereas the BJP has always worked for the future of the country,” he stated.

The Ayodhya Ram Temple also featured prominently in Yogi’s speech. The UP Chief Minister squarely blamed Congress for the decades-long delay in the temple’s construction, calling their policies the reason for the holdup. “Congress is responsible for the delay in Ram Mandir’s construction. It is only under the BJP’s government that this dream has been realized,” he said.

He further highlighted BJP’s respect for India’s revered figures, mentioning the Ayodhya National Airport being named after Maharishi Valmiki as a testament to the party’s commitment to preserving and honoring the country’s cultural heritage.
Yogi Adityanath spoke highly of BJP candidate Krishna Bedi, calling him a dedicated and capable leader who has worked tirelessly for all communities.

“Only the BJP can provide both security and growth for the country”, he added.
Yogi drew comparisons between his home state of Uttar Pradesh and Haryana, lauding both BJP-governed states for their development achievements. “In the last seven and a half years, not a single riot has occurred in Uttar Pradesh, thanks to BJP’s double-engine government,” he asserted. Yogi credited the Manohar Lal and Naib Singh Saini administrations in Haryana for ushering in unprecedented development, moving beyond caste and religious politics.

Adityanath took a jibe at the Congress in Assandh, stating that the Congress’s structure is as dilapidated as the Babri structure in Ayodhya. “If you provide it with oxygen, it will breach security,” he remarked. The Chief Minister was also critical of the Congress, INLD, AAP, and BSP.

Yogi Adityanath visited Haryana on a campaign tour on Sunday. He addressed public rallies in support of BJP candidates from Narwana, Rai, and Assandh assembly constituencies. Yogi Adityanath called for a third consecutive victory for the BJP in Haryana, emphasizing the party’s development initiatives as the foundation for success.
