The England Champions have named a promising lineup with cricketing returns like Kevin Pietersen, Ravi Bopara, Ian Bell, Samit Patel, Owais Shah, Philip Mustard, Chris Schofield, Sajid Mahmood, Ajmal Shahzad, Usman Afzaal, Ryan Sidebottom, Stephen Parry, Stuart Meaker, and Kevin O’Brien.

The team is under the ownership of notable business figures Praveen Sharma, Omar Al Omour, and renowned Bollywood star Jacqueline Fernandez. Assuring fans of a thrilling season of global cricket following the culmination of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, the owners have pledged to re-engage and captivate the audience.

“With legends like Kevin Pietersen and Ian Bell in our squad, we have an exciting opportunity to win the inaugural title. Their management and cricketing prowess will lead to creating unforgettable moments and exceptional performances on the field,” Praveen was quoted in a release from WCL as saying.

With the inclusion of experienced cricketers such as Ian Bell and Kevin Pietersen, complemented by the presence of dynamic players like Sajid Mahmood and Kevin O’Brien, the team is primed to showcase an electrifying performance. As the season draws near, the excitement among enthusiasts and cricket aficionados has reached unprecedented heights.

World Championship of Legends is set to kick off on July 3rd at Edgbaston in the United Kingdom, with the final match scheduled for July 13th. The tournament will open with an exciting clash between the home team, England, and India, while Australia will face off against Pakistan, igniting the competitive fervor right from the outset.
