Wimbledon 2023: Novak Djokovic to face Carlos Alcaraz in men’s final

The grand finale of Wimbledon 2023 will be held at Centre Court on Sunday between two in form players. World No. 1 Carlos Alcaraz is set to take on World No. 2 Novak Djokovic.

Whoever wins the final, it is clear that history and records will be created. If Novak Djokovic lifts the title, he will equal the record of Roger Federer’s eight titles in London, and this would be his 24 Majors.

Currently, the Serbian star has 23 big titles in his kitty, including seven Wimbledon, 10 Australian Open, 3 French Open, and 3 US Open titles. Djokovic has been bossing the Centre Court at Wimbledon since 2015. It will be a tough ask for the Spanish tennis sensation.

The 20-year-old has been playing superb tennis in recent years; before the start of Wimbledon, Alcaraz emerged victorious in the Queen’s Club Championship, which was his first title on grass.

Alcaraz has already bagged 11 ATP Tour-level titles. He has already lifted the 2022 US Open and four Masters 1000 titles. Beating Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final would not be easy for the Spaniard. He needs to punch above his weight to surpass Grand Slam specialist Novak Djokovic.

In the 2023 French Open semi final Novak Djokovic easily defeated Carlos Alcaraz, moved into the final, and defeated Casper Ruud in the final.

An entertaining match is on the cards. Both players are gearing up to produce tremendous tennis in the final. Novak Djokovic is a favourite, but uncertainty always looms in sports. The crowd will get a chance to watch some fine tennis in the final.
