Watch: Virat Kohli’s Playful Take: There Is No Guilt After The Match, You Can Eat Freely

During a promotional event for Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB), renowned Indian cricketer Virat Kohli shared a witty insight into post-match eating habits. When questioned about his preferred indulgence after a game, Kohli jokingly dismissed any notion of guilt associated with snacking and emphasized the freedom to eat without reservations.

He then humorously compared the dietary preferences of batters and bowlers, highlighting the contrasting physical demands they encounter during matches. Kohli noted the specific dietary restrictions bowlers face due to the number of overs they bowl, contrasting it with the relative freedom enjoyed by batters.

Yet, Kohli humorously pointed out that for batters, their match could theoretically conclude with just one ball, suggesting they might have greater flexibility in enjoying their favorite treats post-match.

“There is no guilt after the match, you can eat freely. This is a fast bowler’s topic because he has to bowl four overs. Hamara match toh 1 ball mein bhi khatam ho sakta hai (My match could even end in one ball). So we would have to see whether to eat that or not. For bowlers, it is easier. They know that they would have to sprint for 24 balls,” quipped Kohli.

Kohli’s candid and amusing remarks provided insight into the differing realities of batters and bowlers in cricket. While bowlers must sustain their stamina and endurance throughout the match, batters confront the prospect of a shorter time on the field, potentially affording them greater latitude in their dietary selections after the game.

In essence, Kohli’s remarks offered an engaging and perceptive peek into the psyche of a professional cricketer, underscoring the diverse hurdles encountered by batters and bowlers. His commentary injected a refreshing blend of wit and humor into the conversation.

Meanwhile, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are set to clash with Shubman Gill’s struggling Gujarat Titans in the 52nd match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Saturday evening.
