After a successful performance in Delhi, Diljit Dosanjh continued his Dil-Luminati Tour with a concert in Jaipur on Sunday. During the show, he invited a Marwari fan onto the stage, creating a heartwarming moment that has captured the attention of many online.
In a video shared by his team on Instagram, Diljit began by praising the fan’s pagdi (turban) and expressing pride in India’s diverse culture. He encouraged the audience to give a round of applause for the fan’s turban, stating, “Bhai ke pagdi ke liye zordaar taaliyaan yaar (Please clap for his turban, guys).”
He emphasized the significance of the turban, saying, “Yeh pagdi humari shaan hai; yeh humare desh ki yahi khoobsurti hai; har 2, 3, 4 ghante baad humari boli change ho jaati hai, humara khaana change ho jaata hai; yeh humare desh ki yeh beauty hai (This turban is our pride; this is the beauty of our country; every 2, 3, 4 hours our speech changes, our food changes; this is the beauty of our country).”
Diljit continued to engage the crowd, saying, “Aur hum jahan jahan se hai, koi Jaipur se hai, koi Gujarat se hai, koi Delhi se hai, Haryana se hai, Punjab se hai, hum sabko pyaar karte hai (And wherever we are from, someone is from Jaipur, someone from Gujarat, someone from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, we love everyone).”
After confirming that the fan was indeed a Marwari, Diljit asked the audience to cheer for Marwaris before launching into his song “Main Hoon Punjab,” humorously modifying the hook to, “Mera bhai Marwari aa gaya oye.” The moment was highlighted by a lively bhangra performance from both Diljit and the fan.
