Vishnu Deo Sai Participates In “Chintan Shivir” For ‘Viksit Chhattisgarh’ At IIM Raipur

In a significant move to bridge the gap between policy-making and implementation, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Raipur organized the “Chintan Shivir” from May 31 to June 1. This innovative event, spearheaded by Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai’s government, aimed to impart management skills to Chhattisgarh’s ministers, fostering collaboration, innovation, and foresight.

The two-day intellectual retreat was designed to advance the state’s vision of building a “Viksit Chhattisgarh” (Developed Chhattisgarh). Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Deo Sai, along with his cabinet, engaged in dialogues with subject experts from across the nation. The event served as a platform for ministers to explore good governance practices and seek expert advice on various issues.

Discussions centered on establishing time-bound targets to realize the vision of a developed Chhattisgarh, aligning with the broader goal of ‘Developed India’ (Viksit Bharat) by 2047. Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai expressed his gratitude for the valuable insights gained during the event, stating, “Certainly these two days will be memorable moments for us ministers. The guides said that Chhattisgarh is a very rich state, there are a lot of mineral resources and forest wealth here, and we can take it much further. The people here have blessed us and have made us sit in the government by giving us a historic victory. It is our duty to live up to their trust and take the state forward in terms of development.”

“Our government has set up a separate department of good governance. Very important discussions were held on these topics in these two days. We got guidance from our CEO of NITI Aayog, Subrahmanyam ji, former CEO of NITI Aayog Amitabh Kant, and Dr. Vinay Sahasrabuddhe. All of us ministers listened to everyone like students for two days and understood them. We feel that this two-day Chintan Shivir will help in establishing good governance in Chhattisgarh, gaining the trust of 3 crore people of the state, and taking the state forward,” he added.

Former CEO of NITI Aayog and G20 Sherpa Shri Amitabh Kant highlighted Chhattisgarh’s natural beauty and abundant mineral wealth. He emphasized the importance of balanced mineral exploitation to strengthen the state’s economy while also developing its tourism potential and effective branding.

The participation of key ministers, including Tribal Development and Agriculture Minister Shri Ramvichar Netam, Food Minister Shri Dayaldas Baghel, and Finance Minister Shri OP Choudhary, among others, underscored the government’s commitment to enhancing governance and driving the state’s development.
