Viral Video: Woman’s Dance To ‘Aaj Ki Raat’ In Metro Sparks Outrage Online

While social media was busy spreading everything mundane to viral, it was the metro trains which became an unsuspecting stage for all those viral moments. Whether it is people shooting reels or ferocious fights, public transport makes headlines often. Recently, a video of a woman dancing to the superhit song “Aaj Ki Raat” from *Stree 2* by Tamannaah Bhatia has created quite a buzz online. Reactions are mixed with some people reportedly loving the dance while others saying that it was not the right thing to do.

Saheli Rudra shares a video from her Instagram account in which she dances inside the middle of a metro coach to the lively beats of “Aaj Ki Raat.” In the post, she claims the performance was done “on public demand.” As she dances, some appear amused by the unexpected dance in their shared space while others visibly look annoyed.

The video was posted three days ago and already gathered over 800,000 views on Instagram, prompting a bout of online discussion over balancing creative expression with public decorum.

While she dances to the song, several co-passengers look at the camera, while others are looking away, seemingly uncomfortable.

The online community immediately posted their opinions over the performance. One user said, “People are losing their sense of place; this is not the right spot for a dance performance.” And the other one said, “Not everybody’s here just for your enjoyment, mind your behavior.”.

Though not everyone was pleased about the celebration in public, a netizen wrote, “I would be so embarrassed if I was on that coach,” and another quipped, “This is not a stage, it’s public transport—some people are just trying to get to work.”.
