Sleep and Drive: West Bengal Man Builds Fully Functional Bed-Car, Rides Through Streets Like a Dream

In a whimsical mix of comfort and ingenuity, a West Bengal man has become an internet sensation for creating a motorised bed that indeed moves on the road. The recently-viral creation, a product of Nabab Sk’s imagination, reflects India’s mythical “desi jugaad” with a comedic twist—merging a comfortable mattress and pillows with wheels and a functional steering system.

Rolling Through Murshidabad on a Mattress

Filmed on camera, Nabab glides smoothly down Murshidabad’s streets, attracting amused onlookers and social media as well. His bed-on-wheels features side mirrors fitted to the footboard and a braking system, turning what seems like a normal bed into an odd but useful vehicle.

Bollywood Style on Wheels

Adding a touch of drama to his ride, Nabab stood mid-movement to strike Shah Rukh Khan‘s arms-outstretched pose, winning hearts online in an instant. He then sat back casually and continued his smooth ride.

Internet Can’t Stop Reacting

Social media went wild with funny reactions to the invention. One joked, “Imagine waking up late and just driving your bed to work!” Another said, “This is next-level comfort. Seriously India is not for beginners!”

Amused audiences filled the comment section with puns and jokes:

  • “If traffic is bad, at least you can take a nap.”

  • “Bro, what’s the mileage on this mattress?”

  • “This man is living in 2050 while we are stuck in 2025.”

  • “Dreaming about a road trip just got a whole new meaning!”

This strange creation is yet another illustration of how innovation in India still pushes the limits of practicality and humor—and frequently at the same time.
