In a disturbing incident from Panna, Madhya Pradesh, a man has accused his wife of severe physical abuse, presenting shocking video evidence to the police. The victim, Lokesh Manjhi, a loco pilot posted in Satna, has lodged a complaint against his wife, Harshita Raikwar, alleging repeated assaults and mental torture.
Caught on Camera: Wife Kicks and Slaps Husband
A viral video has surfaced showing Harshita grabbing Lokesh’s t-shirt, slapping him, and even kicking him in the face. The victim, trembling with fear, submitted the footage to the police as proof of his suffering. Lokesh claims that after their marriage in June 2023, his wife’s behavior drastically changed.
“She was a girl from a poor family, so I decided to marry her without taking any dowry. But after a few months, she, along with her mother and brother, started torturing me mentally and physically,” said Lokesh.

Allegations of False Cases and Control Over Husband’s Life
According to Lokesh, his wife did not allow his friends and family to visit him, even stopping him from attending his sister’s wedding. “She beats me, abuses me daily, and threatens to implicate me in false cases. She monitors my bank account and constantly harasses me with video calls. She has even attempted self-harm by consuming mosquito repellent,” he added.
Hidden Camera Exposes the Abuse
To gather evidence, Lokesh installed a hidden camera in their room. On March 20, he was allegedly beaten when Harshita called her mother and brother to their home. The entire incident was recorded. Lokesh later filed a complaint at Satna police station, fearing for his life.
Police Take Action, SP Appeals Against Suicide
Superintendent of Police (SP) Sai Krishna S Thota confirmed the complaint and reviewed the footage. “In the video, the wife is seen brutally beating her husband while he does not retaliate. She is also seen throwing objects and breaking the TV. An FIR has been lodged against her in Satna,” he said.
The SP also urged men facing similar situations not to resort to extreme steps. “No husband should attempt suicide. Instead, collect evidence and seek legal help,” he advised.
Authorities are now investigating the case, ensuring Lokesh’s safety as he continues to live in fear of his wife’s actions.
