Social media users were quick to weigh in on the incident. One of them said that “I think her anger was justified. Many ladies try to squeeze in between strangers, sometimes without even asking. Not everyone is comfortable with this.”
Another added that “Everyone is so frustrated that they can’t tolerate a little high and low and immediately becomes offensive.”
A third opinioned, “I think sometimes it’s a bit of entitlement. Everyone is tired after work, and people who get seats often sit for the entire journey without considering others. That said, personal space should still be respected, and physical fights in public spaces are unacceptable.”
The Delhi Metro has gained notoriety for its share of quirky and chaotic incidents, from impromptu performances to public disputes. Earlier, another viral video from a metro station showed a bystander trying to intervene in a fight but ending up getting slapped instead.
