Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani was on a visit to Dungarpur, Banswara and Udaipur on Thursday. During his visit to Udaipur, he reached ‘Pratap Gaurav Kendra’ in Udaipur on Thursday morning.
Devnani bowed to the memorial of the great warrior Maharana Pratap, a symbol of bravery, valour, sacrifice and patriotism and paid floral tributes with reverence. Devnani said that ‘Pratap Gaurav Kendra’ is not just a tourist destination but it is also a unique centre of national pride and national consciousness.
Devnani said that as a tourist destination, this centre has made a place in the national tourism map of the state and the country. This centre is also a pilgrimage site for us. Veer Shiromani Maharana Pratap is a morning to remember and pride for the nation. The youth should learn the lesson of patriotism and sacrifice from the life of Maharana Pratap, the ideal of Indian human life.
Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani, during his tenure as Education Minister, had removed the chapter on Akbar the Great and included a new chapter on Pratap Mahan in the school education of the state. His step was greatly appreciated at that time.
Vasudev Devnani has played an important role in the construction and concept of this ‘Pratap Gaurav Kendra’. Devnani Veer was the first president of the Shiromani Pratap Committee. Presently he is also a member of the executive committee of the ‘Pratap Gaurav Kendra’ committee.
In accordance with the vision of the far-reaching thinking of the committee headed by Devnani, the Pratap memorial site was constructed here and the Pratap Gaurav Kendra Committee was formed for its operation.
