US Election Countdown: Trump, Harris Intensify Campaigns In Swing States With 48 Hours Remaining

The closeness of the race is all the more remarkable given its dramatic twists and the fact that the candidates could hardly be further apart in their campaign styles and visions for the future.

Kamala Harris and Donald Trump launched a frantic final push across U.S. swing states on Sunday, with less than 48 hours of campaigning left to gain a decisive advantage in a fiercely contested and historically close presidential election.

“The fate of our nation is in your hands. On Tuesday, you have to stand up,” Trump told attendees at his first rally of the day in Pennsylvania, where he reiterated his unfounded claims of election rigging.

Over 76 million people have already cast early ballots ahead of Tuesday’s climax, and the race is down to the wire—more states are functionally tied in polls at this point than in any comparable election.

The tightness of the race is particularly striking given its dramatic twists and the stark contrast in the candidates’ campaign styles and visions for the future.

The Election Day results will hinge on seven key states: Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have focused their campaigns on these states, which are expected to provide the Electoral College votes necessary for the winning candidate to achieve a majority of 270.

Vigilance will be required to track the critical times in each of these states, which span across four different time zones.
