UP: Security ramped up in Mathura on Babri Masjid demolition anniversary

After Hindu organizations declared their intention to hold religious events at Shahi Eidgah on December 6, security at the Mathura mosque was stepped up. Speaking about the security measures, Martand Prakash Singh, SP City Mathura, stated: “Police personnel have been assigned duties after the entire city of Mathura has been divided into two zones and seven sectors.” Additional SP (ASP) is in charge of the zones, and Deputy SP is in charge of the sectors. Additionally, two PACs (Provincial Armed Constabulary) and one company paramilitary force have been given to us.”

He said that more than 500 police officials from the civil police have been depolyed at important checkpoints.
Intensive checking of hotels, parking, and public places is being done near Shri Krishna’s birthplace and Shahi Idga, while the dog squad, LIU, and bomb disposal squad are also involved in checking.
As per reports, there will be a ban on vehicles on the roads leading to Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi Shahi Eidgah starting tomorrow morning. Aadhaar cards of people going towards Shahi Eidgah are also being checked.
