Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the union budget 2023 which is the last full-fledged budget of Modi government before the Lok Sabha election rings in 2024. Ms. Sitharaman’s budget speech outlined which items would be cheaper and which would be more expensive.

The budget session of the Parliament began on Tuesday with the President’s address after which the Economic Survey for 2022-23 was tabled. The formal exercise to prepare the annual Budget for the next financial year (2023-24) commenced on October 10.
