“People can see that we have turned a corner, It has been a difficult few years, but undeniably things are in a better place now than they were” he added.

However, Cabinet minister Mel Stride said it looked like Labour was going for an “extraordinary landslide.” Labour warned his supporters to not take the elections for granted. Labour Leader Starmer had spent a lot time in campaigning and convincing people to vote for a change. Also, many people including analysts and politicians expect for the change.

Former Labour candidate Douglas Beattie, author of the book “How Labour Wins,” said Starmer’s “quiet stability probably chimes with the mood of the country right now. Country is looking for fresh ideas, moving away from a government that’s exhausted and divided,” Beattie stated.
