Trump criticized the judge, alleging bias and corruption, to reporters outside the Manhattan courtroom.

“The judge, who, as you know, is very conflicted and corrupt. Because of the confliction, very, very corrupt. Mother Teresa could not beat these charges. These charges are rigged. The whole thing is rigged,” Trump asserted as jury deliberations began.

Trump expressed frustration with the state of the country, citing issues with borders and elections, and criticized the judge’s perceived conflict of interest. Despite the ongoing trial, Trump remained confident in his prediction of victory in the 2024 presidential election.

“We’re going to win this election. Nov. 5 is going to be the most important day in the history of our country. We’re going to take back our country from these fascists and these thugs that are destroying us with inflation and with everything they do,” he stated.

While Trump’s defense team maintained his innocence, lead attorney Todd Blanche insisted, “President Trump is innocent. He did not commit any crimes. The district attorney did not meet the burden of proof. Period.”

Despite his testimony at the trial, Trump suggested that his statements during the proceedings hindered his ability to campaign, though he continued fundraising activities. He expressed skepticism about the fairness of the trial, stating, “Something is going on, because I think the people of this country see that this is a rigged deal.”
