Israeli PM Netanyahu Recovering Well After Prostate Surgery, Expected To Stay In Hospital

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is in stable condition and fully conscious after undergoing successful prostate surgery, his office confirmed on Sunday.

In a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Netanyahu’s surgery is said to have gone through smoothly and without any complication. The statement added that the prime minister is awake, in good health, and completely conscious following the procedure.

Netanyahu has been moved to a protected underground recovery unit at the hospital and is going to stay there for observation in the following days. The PMO expressed gratitude to the medical team for their expertise in conducting the operation.

Prof. Ofer Gofrit, head of the department of urology at the hospital confirmed that the surgery was completed according to plan and the results were satisfactory.

While Netanyahu’s office reported on public reassurances of his recovery, the prime minister was expected to remain under the care and observation of hospital staff for several more days.
