In a recent statement, Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan called for the intervention of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in resolving issues related to accountability in governance. Kalyan suggested that as a former Chief Minister, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy should allow the new government to take corrective measures and ensure that culprits from the previous administration are punished. He argued that there was no need for Reddy to defend actions taken under the old regime and emphasized that the current government should be allowed to pursue justice freely.

Kalyan’s comments come as part of a broader critique of the YSRCP government’s financial mismanagement and governance failures. He pointed out that the new National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, led by Chandrababu Naidu, inherited a state in fiscal disarray. Kalyan emphasized the importance of letting the current administration address these issues, particularly in terms of holding wrongdoers accountable for past actions.

The Deputy CM also highlighted the significant mandate given to the NDA coalition in the recent elections, where the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and its allies, including Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, secured a landslide victory. He believes that the mandate should be honored by allowing the new government to work without interference.
