The movie was a money spinner when it hit the theaters, made a lot of money, and was its producers’ goldmine. Each and every aspect in the movie, be it from the story to the songs, action sequences, comedy, and other characters, has been etched in the minds of the viewers. This 1998 film, directed by David Dhawan and produced by Vashu Bhagnani, had an all-star ensemble cast of famous faces, including Amitabh Bachchan, Govinda, Raveena Tandon, Anupam Kher, Paresh Rawal, Ramya Krishnan, Satish Kaushik, and Sharat Saxena, in major roles.

In 2024, a sequel under the title of *Bade Miyan Chote Miyan 2* was released but it very badly flopped at the box office. Though some people in the audiences were appreciative of the plot, it did not justify the financial success it sought. Made on a budget of Rs 350 crore, it could only gross Rs 102.16 crore.
