These 6 Former Chief Ministers Are Part of Modi’s 3.0 Cabinet

Six former chief ministers are now Cabinet Ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s new Council of Ministers:

Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, has been allocated the Union Ministry of Agriculture.

Manohar Lal Khattar, former Chief Minister of Haryana, has been given charge of the Power and Urban Affairs Ministry.

Jitan Ram Manjhi, former Chief Minister of Bihar and leader of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM), has been given charge of the Union Ministry of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

Rajnath Singh, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, will continue as the Minister of Defence.

Sarbananda Sonowal, former Chief Minister of Assam, has been appointed as the Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways.

H.D. Kumaraswamy, former Chief Minister of Karnataka and leader of JDS, has been allocated the portfolio of Heavy Industries and Steel.

These former chief ministers now hold significant positions in the Union Cabinet under Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
