In our Indian culture, Swastik is considered very auspicious. Swastik is considered a symbol of good wishes. Whenever we do any auspicious work or start any work, we make the symbol of Swastik. We also worship the symbol of Swastik after making it so that our work is full of happiness and prosperity. The literal meaning of Swastik is good or auspicious. Swastik symbol is considered sacred not only in Hinduism but in all religions.

Swastik, a symbol used in almost all religions, gives momentum to life energy. This is its scientific basis. This symbol gives peace to the human mind and removes negative thoughts and gives happiness. There are 3 main religions in our country. This symbol has been given the most importance in all three – Sanatan, Buddha and Jain. Just as Om changed to Om Amin in Islam and Christianity and Omkar in Sikhism, the Swastika also changed and its form kept changing.

How to make Swastik

It is said in astrology that while making Swastik, one should keep in mind that it should not be made by crossing it. Most people do not know this. They first make a plus sign and then the other arms of Swastik. But Swastik made in this way is not considered auspicious. The right part of Swastik should always be made first and then the left. Only Swastik made in this way is considered auspicious. Red color quickly affects the physical and mental level of a person. This color is considered a symbol of power. It is advisable to use only red color while making Swastik. According to the rules, Swastik is to be made 9 inches. First of all two straight lines are drawn in Swastik, which bend further and their edges are also slightly bent. The swastika in which these lines turn to the right is called clockwise and the one in which they turn to the left is called anticlockwise swastika. The initial shape of the swastika is a vertical line from east to west and another horizontal line is drawn from south to north above this line and then one line is added from east to the ends of the four arms of the swastika. After this, one dot is placed in the middle of each of the four lines. The left part of the swastika is also considered to be the seed mantra of Lord Ganesha, Gam, and the four dots contained in it are considered to be the abode of many gods including Gauri, Prithvi, Kachhapa.

Description of Swastika symbol:
• Vedic sages had created some special symbols from their supernatural experiences which were a symbol of good luck, yoga and other mysterious secrets of life. Among them, Om and Swastika are considered to be the most popular symbols in today’s time.
• The word Swastik is mainly a combination of (Su+Asti+Ka) which means:-

Su=beautiful/good, Asti=existence, Ka=doer

In the middle of Swastik is Brahma, the four arms coming out of the middle are called Dharma, Moksha, Artha and Kama. The straight line after the bending of the arms is called Sarupya, Salokya, Samipya and Sayujya. The ends of the arms of the Swastik symbol are called ego, mind, consciousness and intellect. The empty space of the arms of Swastik is called dedication, love or faith, trust and devotion.
