This particular stretch of road, which connects the Prabhat area to the Chandigarh barrier, has become a major concern for residents and commuters. The poor condition of the road has been an ongoing issue, with deep potholes spanning a distance of about half a kilometer. Although there are several other roads in the city that are in bad shape, this stretch is particularly problematic. It serves as a vital link for the large number of people from Prabhat village who work in Chandigarh. These daily commuters face significant difficulties while traveling, with vehicles jolting as they pass over the potholes, causing discomfort and damage to their vehicles.
For pedestrians, the situation is equally troubling. The water-filled potholes make it difficult to walk on the road, and the debris and dust that fly up further contribute to the discomfort. Some people, afraid of damaging their vehicles or facing the inconvenience, are forced to take detours via the Zirakpur-Panchkula lights to reach their destinations in Chandigarh or Prabhat village.
Despite the severe impact on daily life, the road remains neglected, and no repair work has been undertaken by the authorities. Residents and commuters are left frustrated, hoping for action from the administration to address the long-standing problem and make the road safer and more accessible for everyone.
