Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan strongly criticized the Congress-JMM alliance in Jharkhand on Sunday, accusing both parties of habitual dishonesty. He emphasized that the BJP would unveil the shortcomings of the Hemant Soren administration. It’s worth noting that Jharkhand is one of the states scheduled for elections later this year.

Shivraj said, “Congress and JMM have become machines of lying, they lie every day that they have achieved success even with fewer seats. The same has happened in Jharkhand. If we convert the Lok Sabha results into Assembly results, we have won 52 seats out of 81.”

Chouhan also raised doubts about the accomplishments of the alliance during their five-year tenure, questioning what they have achieved. He pointed out that JMM’s manifesto includes 144 promises and Congress’s manifesto has 133 promises. Chouhan challenged Hemant Soren to clarify how many of these promises have been fulfilled, accusing them of misleading different segments of society. He stated his intention to expose the Hemant Soren government by highlighting the unfulfilled promises of the JMM-Congress alliance to the public.

“The promises included promises for the youth, stating that within two years of forming the government, jobs would be provided to thousands of Jharkhand youths in various vacant government positions. Until jobs are provided, graduates would receive Rs 5000 and postgraduates Rs 7000 per month. Hemant Soren did not give employment to even a single youth,” he said.

He further accused the government of misleading women, alleging that they were promised a monthly allowance of Rs 2000.

“Additionally, promises were made to farmers, including the establishment of a farmers’ bank. Under the previous BJP government led by Raghubar Das, Rs 5000 was given under the Mukhyemantri Krishi Samriddhi Yojana, which was discontinued by the Hemant Soren government,” he added.

The Union Minister underscored that the BJP would bring Hemant Soren’s commitments to the forefront and ensure accountability from the government for their actions.
