Aussie captain Meg Lanning who led her team to lift T20 World Cup title for the fifth time in the recently concluded ICC Women’s T20 World Cup has been named as the skipper of the Delhi Capitals franchise ahead of the inaugural edition of Women’s Premier League 2023. Delhi Capitals bought Lanning for a decent price of Rs. 1.1 crore in the successfully concluded WPL auction 2023. Meg Lanning has captained Australian side in 100 international matches- which is the most by any woman in the shortest format of the game.
