After Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was granted bail in a case related to liquor policy, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) stated that while truth may face challenges, it cannot be defeated. Special CBI Judge Niyay Bindu granted bail to Arvind Kejriwal.
Following his bail, the party posted on X in Hindi, “Truth can be troubled, but not defeated. Despite all objections from BJP’s ED, the Hon’ble Court has granted bail to Delhi Chief Minister.”
Delhi Minister Atishi described Arvind Kejriwal’s bail as “Satyamev Jayate” (Truth alone triumphs in English).
Arvind Kejriwal is expected to be released from jail tomorrow after the bail order is processed by the prison authorities as per procedure.
Sources indicate that the Enforcement Directorate is likely to challenge the bail order in the Delhi High Court and seek a stay on Friday. The ED had requested the trial court to suspend the order, but the court declined the request.
