The case involving Sanjay Roy, accused in the rape and murder of a trainee doctor at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, has taken a complex turn. Roy has been subjected to a polygraph test where he reportedly claimed that the victim was already dead when he arrived at the scene. This claim, however, has been met with skepticism due to inconsistencies in his statements and evidence against him.

Despite his initial confession, Roy has recently denied his involvement, asserting that he is being framed. During the lie detector test, several of his responses were flagged as false or unconvincing, and he appeared anxious. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and local police have noted significant contradictions in his claims, including his inability to explain injuries on his face and his presence at the crime scene.

The victim was found dead with evidence of sexual assault and multiple injuries. CCTV footage placed Roy at the scene, and a Bluetooth headset belonging to him was discovered at the crime scene. Psychoanalytic profiling has characterized Roy as a pervert with severe pornography addiction and “animal-like” instincts.

The investigation continues as authorities work to untangle the details of this tragic case.
