The police stated that Vikram had issued the threat after watching a regional news channel. He called the Mumbai Police control room and threatened Salman Khan’s life. “The accused is a daily wage worker and claims to be a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi,” a police source explained. The source added that while this is the suspect’s statement, the Mumbai Police will conduct further interrogation and investigation.
Vikram’s message to Salman Khan was clear: “If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he should go to our temple and apologise or pay ₹5 crore. If he does not do so, we will kill him; our gang is still active.” The person behind the threat initially claimed to be the brother of imprisoned gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. A case was subsequently filed at the Worli police station.
Further investigation revealed that the accused was from Karnataka, prompting the Worli police to send a team to arrest him. Vikram was detained late on Tuesday, and after interrogation, he was formally arrested by the Worli police. The suspect was then presented in court for a transit remand and is being transported to Mumbai for further legal proceedings.
Despite the alarming death threats, Salman Khan continues his work in the entertainment industry. He is currently filming for Bigg Boss 18 and his upcoming movie Sikandar. The actor was also recently seen in a cameo as Chulbul Pandey in the post-credit scene of Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again.
