The Navi Mumbai Police successfully apprehended four individuals associated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. These gang members were allegedly orchestrating an attack on the car of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in Panvel.

According to the report, there was a detailed plan to procure weapons from a Pakistani arms supplier. Consequently, a first information report has been registered against over 17 individuals, including Lawrence Bishnoi, Anmol Bishnoi, Sampat Nehra, and Goldy Brar. The police stated that further investigation is currently underway.

The individuals who were taken into custody have been identified by the authorities as Dhananjay alias Ajay Kashyap, Gaurav Bhatia alias Nahvi, Waspi Khan alias Wasim Chikna, and Rizwan Khan alias Javed Khan, according to police officials.

The recent development follows an incident that occurred several months ago on April 14, when two men on motorcycles fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai’s Bandra area. The individuals, identified as Vicky Gupta and Sagar Pal, were subsequently apprehended in Gujarat.

Another suspect, Anuj Thapan, was arrested on April 26 in Punjab, along with an additional individual involved in the case. However, Anuj Thapan met a tragic end on May 1, as he died in the toilet of the lock-up of the Mumbai police’s crime branch.

Since November 2022, Salman Khan’s security detail has been significantly upgraded to Y-Plus level in response to ongoing threats from notorious gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. In addition to this heightened security, Khan has been granted authorization to carry a personal firearm, enhancing his ability to protect himself. Furthermore, he has invested in a new armored vehicle to ensure his safety while traveling.

In March last year, a threatening email to the 58-year-old actor’s office led Mumbai Police to act swiftly, filing an FIR against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi, Goldy Brar, and an accomplice. Charges included sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 506-II (criminal intimidation), and 34 (acts by persons with common intention) of the Indian Penal Code.

The First Information Report (FIR) stemmed from a complaint filed with Bandra Police by Prashant Gunjalkar, who, as per police records, was a frequent visitor to Khan’s residence in Bandra and operated an artist management company, as reported by PTI.
