Sakshi, the spouse of the ex-captain of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK), attended the CSK vs. Sunrisers Hyderabad IPL 2024 game at the MA Chidambaram Stadium.

On Sunday, as the game was about to end, Sakshi came up with an Instagram story that quickly went viral.

The story featured a short video of Dhoni taking wickets in the field, while Sakshi’s post mentioned, “Please finish the game fast today @chennaiipl baby is on the way…contractions have begun Request from – to be Bua.”

Chennai Super Kings secured their fifth victory of the season with a dominant 78-run win over Sunrisers Hyderabad. CSK posted a formidable total of 212/3 in their allotted 20 overs, propelled by impressive half-centuries from captain Ruturaj Gaikwad (98 off 54 balls, including 10 fours and three sixes), Daryl Mitchell (52 off 32 balls, comprising seven fours and a six), and an excellent cameo from Shivam Dube (39* off 20 balls, featuring four fours and four sixes).

In the pursuit of 213 runs, only Heinrich Klaasen (20 off 21 balls, with one six) and Aiden Markram (32 off 26 balls) managed to exceed the 20-run mark. However, the team was ultimately dismissed for 134 runs in 18.5 overs. The standout bowlers were Mustafizur Rahman (2 wickets for 19 runs), Matheesha Pathirana (2 wickets for 17 runs), and Tushar Deshpande (4 wickets for 27 runs).

During the match, Ruturaj Gaikwad of the Chennai Super Kings surpassed Michael Hussey to claim the position of the team’s fourth-highest run scorer in history. Gaikwad achieved this feat by scoring 98 runs in just 54 balls, comprising 10 fours and three sixes.

After their win, Chennai Super Kings now share the third spot with Delhi Capitals, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Lucknow Super Giants, each team having 10 points. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad, following their fourth loss, slipped to fourth place despite also having 10 points.

The upcoming matches between Chennai Super Kings and Punjab Kings are set to take place on May 1st and May 5th.

Chennai Super Kings need to secure victories in four out of their remaining five matches to secure a spot in the top four and qualify for the playoffs.
