The Centre Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Wednesday conducted raids at more than 74 places including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, and Chandigarh in connection with the Food Corporation of India (FCI) scam case in which Rs 60 lakh has been recovered.
“Rs 60 lakh(approx) recovered so far in massive operation being undertaken against channelized corruption in FCI procurement, storage, and distribution,” CBI stated.
Meanwhile, on the specific inputs, the raids are being conducted in the FCI( Food Corporation of India ).
Earlier on Tuesday, one deputy general manager (DGM) Rajeev Kumar Mishra was arrested for getting a bribe of Rs 50,000 from one Ravinder Singh Khera in Punjab.
In this connection two days ago an FIR was lodged against 74 persons including government officials, private entities, agents, and mill owners.
Moreover, in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana raids are going on in which CBI officials raided two locations in Delhi, in Punjab, Ludhiana, Patiala, and Amritsar, and in Haryana, raids are going on in Hisar and Ambala.
During the search operation, the CBI recovered documents related to these cases from different locations.
