A delegation from the Rajasthan Government, headed by Industry and Commerce Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore, has departed for Singapore to participate in the Singapore Investor Meet as part of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Conference 2024. The event aims to attract potential investors and foster economic ties between Rajasthan and Singapore.
During their four-day visit, the delegation will engage with senior officials of the Singapore Government and representatives from both public and private sectors. They will focus on various industries, including petrochemicals, urban development, water management, aerospace, electronics, skill development, horticulture, strategic investment, and telecommunications. The aim is to invite these companies to invest in Rajasthan and participate in the upcoming Investment Summit. The delegation also plans to visit leading Singapore-based business and manufacturing units to gain insights into their operations and best practices. Alongside Minister Rathore, the delegation includes Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant, Principal Secretary of the Medical and Health Department Gayatri Rathore, and other senior officials. In addition to official meetings, the delegation will connect with the Indian diaspora and the non-resident Rajasthani community in Singapore, who have made significant contributions to both their home state and the country. A dinner hosted by the High Commissioner of India, Dr. Shilpak Ambule, is also on the agenda. To ensure the success of the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, the State Government has been actively engaging with domestic and international investors, conducting investor roadshows in major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Seoul, Tokyo, Osaka, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha. These efforts have garnered investment proposals (MoUs) exceeding Rs 12.55 lakh crore, demonstrating robust confidence in Rajasthan’s investor-friendly policies.
The Singapore leg of the Investor Roadshow is being organized in collaboration with the Indian High Commission and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), which serves as the Summit Industry Partner. PwC India is the Knowledge Partner for this important investment summit.
