Amritpal Singh, the leader of “Waris Punjab De,” used a car to flee, and the Punjab Police confiscated it on Sunday along with a number of other cars and weapons. According to the police, seven aides of Amritpal Singh have been arrested so far, and efforts are under way to nab the pro-Khalistan leader as well. SSP Jalandhar Rural, Swarndeep Singh, said that the seized vehicle was found abandoned.
“One vehicle from Amritpal Singh’s escort has been taken into custody. In addition, one Kirpan and a weapon with a.315 bore and 57 live rounds were found inside. After use, the vehicle was abandoned, he claimed.
