Punjab Police are conducting searches to apprehend the associates of gangster Goldie Brar, who is rumored to have a base in Canada, amidst the diplomatic spat between India and Canada. Siddhu Moosewala, a Punjabi singer, was killed, and Brar is accused of it.
The mission was launched by Punjab Police on Thursday at seven in the morning and will last all day. In the rural districts of Moga, Ferozepur, Tarn Taran, and Amritsar, police are conducting the operations.
The Report of the operation is to be submitted to ADGP today at 5 PM.
Goldy Brar, alias Satinderjeet Singh, is said to be a member of Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang. He left India for Canada, on a student visa, in 2017. Goldy Brar was also the prime accused in the murder of cult rapper and Congress leader Sidhu Moose Wala on May 29, 2022.
According to the allegations, Brar planned Moose Wala’s murder with criminal Lawrence Bishnoi.
Brar was listed as one of Canada’s top 25 most wanted criminals in May of this year. Brar is the subject of a Red Notice from Interpol that charges him with murder, criminal conspiracy, and the supply of illegal firearms in addition to an attempted murder, criminal conspiracy, and the supply of illegal firearms.
On Wednesday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) released information about 43 people connected to a terrorist-gang network with ties to Canada.
