In a significant development related to the Pune Porsche crash case, Pune police have recently detained the teen’s father and grandfather in a different case of abetment of suicide of a local businessman’s son announced officials on Friday.
Local businessman DS Kature, has recently filed complaint against Pune car accident accused father, grandfather and three others. Holding them responsible for his son’s suicide.
As per police, DS Kature’s son Shashikant Katur, had committed suicide, due to harassment from accused Vinay Kale, who had borrowed money for a construction venture, after being unable to repay the loan, he tragically took his own life.
After this case, police have filed a case of abetment against kale under IPC sections 306 and 506 at city’s Chandannagar police station.
‘During the ongoing car accident investigation, the father of Vinay Kale had approached Police recently where the role of the juvenile’s father grandfather and three others surfaced in the abetment of suicide case. Following this, Pune police included the accused’s father, grandfather, and three others in the abetment of suicide FIR at the Chandannagar Police Station. They also added sections 420 and 34 of the IPC, and further investigation is ongoing’ revealed senior pune police official.
Currently, the teen’s father is under police custody over blood tampering sample case, and grandfather is under judicial custody for kidnapping of family driver and pressuring him to take responsibility for the incident.
On May 19, 17-year-old teen after being drunk, was driving his swanky Porsche car, when the minor collisioned with bike carrying 2 IT professionals. Thus, ending their lives.
Currently, the accused has been remanded to an observation home by the Juvenile Justice Board for 14 days till June 5th, who was initially granted bail in the case.
