Pune Porsche Accident: Protesters Throw Ink At Police Van Carrying Father of The Teen

On Wednesday, protesters threw black ink at a police van transporting the father of a 17-year-old involved in Pune Porsche Accident. The prominent builder was being taken to a Pune sessions court when the incident occurred. Protesters surrounded the van, threw ink at it, and chanted slogans like “Inqalaab Zindabad.” The court has placed him in police custody until May 24.

The Pune Porsche Accident happened around 2:30 am on Sunday in Kalyani nagar when the minor, driving a Porsche Taycan, rear-ended a motorcycle. The Pune crime branch detained the teenager’s father in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Tuesday morning as part of the ongoing investigation.

Members of the Vande Mataram Sanghatana were responsible for the ink attack on the builder, identified as Agarwal. Several protesters involved in the demonstration have been detained by the police. The incident occurred around 2:30 pm as Agarwal was being transported to the Shivajinagar court complex.

A Pune police official told PTI, “According to preliminary information, four to five people from an organization tried to throw ink at the police vehicle escorting the father of the juvenile accused.” Following the crash, the police charged the teenager’s father under sections 75 and 77 of the Juvenile Justice Act and relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Section 75 pertains to “willfully neglecting a child or exposing them to mental or physical harm,” while section 77 involves providing a child with alcohol or drugs.

In addition to Agarwal, Pune Police have arrested four other individuals, including the owners and managers of two pubs where the minor was served alcohol. A decision regarding the juvenile accused is expected from the Juvenile Court on Wednesday.
