A video of devotees visiting the Venkateswara Temple in Tirumala has gone viral for a rather unusual reason. In the clip, a family is seen adorned in heavy gold jewelry. Reportedly, they arrived at the temple with a total of 25 kg of gold.
PTI shared the video with the caption, “Andhra Pradesh: Devotees from Pune wearing 25 kg of gold visited Tirumala’s Venkateswara Temple earlier today.”
In the video, a family of four stands with folded hands, including two men dressed in white vests and dhotis, each wearing thick gold chains. A woman in a golden saree is adorned with jewelry, and a child is seen standing in front of the adults.
As the video continues, the family from Pune is shown walking through the temple grounds, accompanied by a policeman.
