Faheem, who is closely associated with gangster Hashim Baba, was identified by the police as the mastermind behind a recent operation. He had kept Moin, a 19-year-old resident of Loni, Ghaziabad, as a backup in case the original plan failed.
Three days after a man was shot dead inside a ward at GTB Hospital, the police made another arrest. Moin, one of the key conspirators, conducted surveillance of the hospital multiple times along with his associates Ayan, Aman, and Shavez. “He did this surveillance for four days in a row, gathering details about the hospital’s entry and exit points,” said Surendra Choudhary, the Deputy Commissioner of Police for Shahdara district.
According to the police, Faheem specifically hired Moin to provide backup to the shooter if anything went wrong. “Moin’s role was to be on standby and also to hide the motorcycle used in the act,” explained DCP Choudhary. The police have already arrested two others, Faiz from Loni and Farhan from the Chauhan Bangar area in Delhi, for providing logistical support for the shooting. The attack is believed to have been carried out by members of the Hashim Baba gang, who mistakenly targeted Riyazuddin, a 32-year-old man, thinking he was a rival gang member admitted to the hospital.
