Prime Minister Narendra Modi revealed the theme, logo website for its presidency of the G 20 which gives a glimpse at country’s priorities to the world. India is all set to take over the G 20 presidency from the current chair Indonesia. India’s G 20 presidency will prove to be a significant evolution in the history of foreign policy with the objective of the Prime Minister “undertaking leadership roles on the global stage”.
“The G20 presidency offers a unique opportunity to India to contribute to the global agenda on pressing issues of international importance. The logo, theme and website of our G20 presidency would reflect India’s message and overarching priorities to the world,” ministry of external affairs said in a statement.
India during its course of presidency, will be holding approximately 200 meetings in 32 different locations across India.
G20 is group of 20 premier forum for international cooperation on the most crucial aspects of economic and financial agenda. It together binds the developed and developing economies of the world. The members of this international forum are Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, South Korea, Turkey, the United Kingdom and the United States of America.
