Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan and submitted his resignation along with that of the Union Council of Ministers. The President accepted their resignations and requested them to continue in their roles until a new government is formed.
Despite the Lok Sabha election outcome, which did not give the BJP a clear majority, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remained undeterred in his speech on Tuesday evening at the party headquarters. He proclaimed that after sixty years, the current government has secured a third consecutive term and promised that the coalition will work with increased determination over the next five years to elevate the nation to greater heights.
PM Modi will take oath as Prime Minister Of India in the swearing-in ceremony on June 8.
