Lok Sabha Election 2024 Phase 3: PM Modi casts his vote in Ahmedabad

Prime Minister Narendra Modi cast his vote in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections on Tuesday at Nishan Higher Secondary School in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He was welcomed to by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. He was also warmly welcomed by many others.

Wearing a saffron-colored half jacket over a white kurta-pyjama, PM Modi and Amit Shah made their way to the polls. He stopped along the route to greet the throng, waving to bystanders and even signing a sketch of himself. In addition, PM Modi posed for a picture outside the Nishan Higher Secondary School polling place in Ahmedabad with a young girl.

After casting his vote, PM Modi says, “India’s election process, election management is an example for the world’s democracies to learn from. The world’s biggest universities should do a case study. There are elections in around 64 countries and there should be a comparison of all of them. This year is like a celebration of democracy… I again tell the countrymen to vote in large numbers and celebrate the festival of democracy.”

PM Modi further said, “Today is the third phase of voting. There is great importance of ‘Daan’ in our country and in the same spirit, the countrymen should vote as much as possible. 4 rounds of voting are still ahead. As a voter in Gujarat, this is the only place where I vote regularly and Amit Bhai is contesting from here as a Bharatiya Janata Party candidate…”

After casting his vote PM Modi interacted with media. PM Modi asked media people to take care of their health while they come out for work. He suggested reporters to drink more liquids to protect themselves with chilling heat and that will keep them hydrated. Intake of more drinks will provide energy.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi showed his inked finger after casting his vote at a polling booth in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. He also urged people to use their voting rights and come out from home to cast in mass.

 

Prior to voting, PM Modi encouraged citizens to participate actively in the third phase of the Lok Sabha elections, urging them to cast their votes in record numbers. He conveyed his message via a post on X, stating, “Urging all those who are voting in today’s phase to vote in record numbers. Their active participation will certainly make the elections more vibrant.”

The third phase of the general election commenced on Tuesday at 7:00 am, encompassing 93 Lok Sabha seats across 12 states and union territories.
