The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) will hold its 37th convocation on August 10, where Chief Justice of India D. Y. Chandrachud will be the chief guest.
The convocation ceremony will witness the receiving of the postgraduate and doctorate degrees of MD, MCh, PhD, MS, and MPH for the batches of 2022 and 2023. Another convocation for the undergraduate students of nursing and paramedical courses for 2019- 2023 batches will be held on August 30.
Recently, a three-judge bench of the SC, led by the Chief Justice, heard petitions challenging the irregularities, paper leaks and other issues in the NEET-UG examination.
It is expected that over 400 students will be awarded degrees and medals during the convocation. “It will be an honour for the students to get the medals from the chief Justice of India, who may have some inspirational stories to share” said a faculty member in the Institute.
